Juxtaposing haute jewelry design with layers of mouth-blown Bohemian crystal, each lamp in Maison Berger’s “The Art Edition” Lumière series is artisanally crafted by Stefano Poletti – renown teacher of fine jewelry design at the Instituto Europeo di Design in Milan, Italy and the College of Art in Reims, France, known for his lavish creativity, and sought after to design shop windows for Louis Vuitton.
Each Lumière lamp is topped by a piece of jewelry, made from pewter and brass wire, covered in white bronze; each wire is individually soldered to the frame work, shaped by hand, and adorned with 48 glass pearls. The body of each Lumière lamp begins with a clear layer of mouth-blown Bohemian crystal, and is then covered by a second layer of either amethyste crystal – each featuring hand-cut decorations, revealing the clear crystal beneath.
